This offering will help participants redirect excess tension, pain, and fatigue into useful energy, ease, flexibility, and expressiveness. Students will be introduced to Alexander principles through both verbal and tactile instruction, and Ms. Fittipaldi will also work with students individually to become more aware of their own “holding patterns,” and then assist them with making different movement choices. The workshop is appropriate for musicians, dancers, and anyone wishing to explore moving more easily in everyday activities (sitting, walking, reading, writing, working at a computer, etc.). The class may continue for the second 9 weeks of the session, if there is sufficient student interest.
