Rochester, NY- Hochstein School of Music & Dance presents its 20th Annual Performathon, taking place Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 at Eastview Mall in the Bon-Ton Court. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of its programs; raise dollars through sponsorships and student pledges; and most importantly, giving students the opportunity to perform for the community. Prior to the event, students collect pledges in support of participating, which goes toward the tuition assistance program. This “marathon” allows the instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers the opportunity to share their exceptional talents with crowds of shoppers.

New This Year: “Busking For Hochstein.” There will be additional performing sites near Starbucks and in front of Lord & Taylors for a smaller, more intimate atmosphere. These areas will have smaller ensembles, rock cellos, jazz, and chamber groups of faculty and students who will have fun while raising funds from passers by.
