Hochstein in the News
Have you seen the Democrat and Chronicle's Staff Writer Bob Marcotte's articles
about Hochstein 's History? The first two installments: A Tribute to a Musician's
Legacy, How They Started, have been fascinating and we're eagerly awaiting the
third. We are very proud of our legacy and the continued growth of our programs, still
focused on our original mission: a place for all to thrive!
Hochstein at Canandaigua New Advisory Members
Marie Brown is a resident of Canandaigua, and with her husband Rick, they have four children: Stephanie (an adult),
Jonathon (7th grade) and Jordyn (5th grade). Their daughter Molly was the inspiration behind the Simple Gifts concert idea, and Marie and Rick have volunteered for Hochstein for two years to establish the Molly Brown
Memorial Scholarship for Hochstein and to produce the Simple Gifts concerts each June.
Wanda Moore is a resident of Canandaigua whose two children, Russell and Kathleen, are both Canandaigua Academy graduates and grateful recipients of a first-rate music education in the CCSD program. Kathleen also played in the Finger Lakes Concert Band and is currently studying music at Boston University. Wanda is the manager at Eighty Parrish Street, where we have performed student recitals for the past two years, and she was a volunteer on the Break on the Lake committee.
