New Program Director at Hochstein at Canandaigua and New Dean at Hochstein

Laura SchweibacherLaura Mayes Schweibacher replaces outgoing Program Director Joanna Bassett at Hochstein’s extension program in Canandaigua. Laura has been a vocal instructor at Hochstein since 2009, teaching a variety of musical genres including classical, Broadway, and jazz to students of all ages and experience levels. She has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Eastman School of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature, with a minor in Opera Stage Directing.  Laura has 10 years of operatic performing experience singing leading soprano roles in productions of Rigoletto, Lucia di Lammermoor, Die Zauberfloete, Don Giovanni and The Medium in small opera companies and festivals in New York City and California. She recently moved to Canandaigua with her husband, Ed, and daughter, Eleanor.

 

Sarah Gullo, Dance faculty member since 2010, has taken the position of Assistant Dean to outgoing Dance facultySarah Gullo member Kate Wheeler. Sarah has a Master of Fine Arts degree from SUNY Brockport and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. She is an Adjunct Professor at SUNY College at Brockport and Roberts Wesleyan College and Choreographer at Cobblestone Arts Center. Sarah resides in Rochester.
