Exodus to Jazz Presents Gerald Clayton & Tamir Hendelman

Having led their own trios to audience pleasing engagements in January 2011 and February 2011 respectively, Tamir Hendelman and Gerald Clayton return to perform a benefit concert for the Museum of Kids Art. Entitled “A Duet for MoKA”, the fundraiser will support the non-profit organization’s use of visual and performing arts to educate and inspire youth in the urban community of Rochester, New York.

Equally acclaimed for technical prowess and creativity, Hendelman and Clayton each have been praised for their likenesses to Oscar Peterson. They both exhibit mature musicianship through the range of expressions between fiery intensity and elegant sensitivity. In the spirit of the classic piano duet An Evening with Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea, “A Duet for MoKA” promises to be memorable entertainment for a very worthy cause.  See the  Exodus To Jazz – MoKA poster created by David Cowles for this benefit concert.
