This energetic ensemble sings in unison, two and three parts. Students have fun learning vocal and rehearsal techniques by singing traditional choral repertoire, folk songs, multi-cultural literature and spirited novelty pieces. Youth Singers learn correct vocal production including proper vowel placement and breathing, enunciation of consonants and correct posture, as well as listening and ensemble skills. Singers will also improve their music reading skills using Solfège and Kodaly Hand signals as part of the curriculum. Students in Grades 7-12 are welcome to be a part of our more advanced Hochstein Singers which continues from 11:30 am-12:30 pm.
Fee: $10 registration fee. $396* yearly tuition, payable in quarterly installments of $99. For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, yearly tuition is $306 payable in quarterly installments of $76.50.

This ensemble is an extension of the Hochstein Youth Singers for our older students. Students with unchanged voices participate in the Youth Singers Saturday mornings from 9:30-11:00 am, take a snack break together for 30 minutes, and then rehearse with the Hochstein Singers from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Males with changed voices join us from 11:00-12:30 pm. Hochstein Singers combine classical training with the joyful experience of music making. Participants learn the rewards of achievement while building self esteem and mutual respect. Repertoire includes choral literature of the world as well as that of our diverse American communities.
Fee for Members of Youth Singers: No registration fee. $144* yearly tuition, payable in quarterly installments of $36. For students enrolled in individual lessons at Hochstein, yearly tuition is $108 payable in quarterly installments of $27.
