Short and long term band opportunities for piccolo, flute, oboe, alto saxophone, snare drum, clarinet and bass clarinet, bassoon, tenor and baritone saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion (keyboard and timpani).

Junior Wind Symphony

6 weeks only, September 15-October 20

Saturdays, 12:00-2:00 pm

An opportunity for motivated junior high students to broaden their wind band experience. The program includes an intensive 6-week rehearsal schedule. Open to woodwind, brass, and percussion students entering grades 7 and 8 in September of 2012. Youth Wind Symphony

5 weeks only, January 5-February 9

Saturdays, 12:00-2:00 pm

Participation in this senior high school wind ensemble allows students to broaden their wind band experience. Open to woodwind, brass, and percussion students in grades 9-12. Please call (585) 454-4596 to request an application which are due by Saturday, October 13, 2012.

Finger Lakes Concert Band

grades 10-adult, NYSSMA Level 6 or the equivalent

Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 pm at the Canandaigua Middle School

Comprised of adult instrumentalists and advanced high school students from the Greater Finger Lakes community, the Finger Lakes Concert Band rehearses weekly and gives several concerts per year featuring a wide variety of music ranging from standard wind band literature and orchestral transcriptions to music of the jazz and pop idioms.
