Music Therapy is a well–established healthcare profession offering therapeutic music interventions that address the physical, emotional, cognitive, communication, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Music therapy improves the quality of life for persons who are well and meets the needs of children and adults with disabilities or illnesses. Celebrating 30 years of programming, and servicing over 1,000 clients annually, our music therapy department continues to impact the lives of our clients through the appeal and rhythms of music as a therapeutic tool. All therapists are board–certified, and many have additional training in neurologic music therapy techniques to address sensorimotor, speech/language, and cognitive dysfunction due to neurological diseases or injuries of the human nervous system.
