Lessons and classes are now underway at Hochstein School’s new program, Hochstein at Canandaigua! This unique partnership between Hochstein School and the Canandaigua City School District is housed in the Canandaigua Academy which has just completed major renovations and now accommodates seven teaching studios and a dance studio.
Hochstein at Canandaigua is the direct response to requests from Canandaigua music educators and community leaders for enhanced music and dance offerings in the Finger Lakes Region. During school hours, Hochstein faculty support the Canandaigua Schools’ music and dance program, after which Hochstein at Canandaigua opens to the public on weekday afternoons and evenings, and Saturdays. Offerings include private instruction in music, various teen and adult ensembles, music appreciation, and group dance classes. Pre-school music classes and music therapy services are also available off-site.
Hochstein School of Music & Dance has served as Rochester’s Community School for the Arts since 1920, providing excellent instruction in music and dance to anyone with an interest, regardless of age, level of skill, or financial means.
